What Is a Skin and Soft Tissue Infection Consultation?

A consultation evaluates infections of the skin, soft tissue, and wounds, including MRSA. During your visit, your provider will:

What We Review During Your Consultation:
  • Appearance and extent of the infection (redness, swelling, warmth)
  • Presence of abscesses, drainage, or open wounds
  • Pain, fever, or systemic symptoms
  • History of previous infections, including MRSA exposure
  • Recommendations for lab testing, cultures, antibiotics, or referral to specialists

Why Early Skin Infection Evaluation Matters

In-home evaluation allows for rapid assessment, early treatment, and reduced spread of infection. UrgentCare2Go® helps patients:

  • Identify the severity of skin or soft tissue infections
  • Determine the need for cultures or lab tests
  • Receive timely treatment, including antibiotics if necessary
  • Prevent complications or spread of MRSA
