What Is a Phlebitis Evaluation?

A phlebitis evaluation focuses on identifying inflammation of a vein, which may occur near the skin surface or deeper within the leg or arm. Early evaluation is important to reduce discomfort and rule out more serious vascular conditions.

What We Review During Your Evaluation:
  • Localized vein pain, redness, or warmth
  • Swelling or tenderness along the vein
  • Recent IV use, injury, or prolonged immobility
  • History of blood clots or vascular disease
  • Risk factors such as smoking or pregnancy
  • Need for imaging or urgent referral

Why Early Evaluation Matters

In-home visits allow fast assessment without travel discomfort. UrgentCare2Go® helps patients:

  • Reduce pain and inflammation
  • Identify superficial vs deep vein involvement
  • Prevent progression to blood clots
  • Guide safe treatment and monitoring
  • Coordinate specialist referral when needed

How to Prepare for Your UrgentCare2Go

Create a Clean and Comfortable Environment:

  • Ensure the area for your UrgentCare2Go service is clean and has sufficient space for our equipment and staff to move around comfortably
  • Please ensure you are ready at the scheduled appointment time

Secure All Pets in an Enclosed Area:

  • Of course, we love pets! However, for the safety and comfort of everyone, please ensure all pets are secured in a separate, enclosed space during the visit
