What Are Menstrual Problems?

Menstrual problems include a wide range of cycle-related concerns such as heavy or prolonged bleeding, missed periods, irregular cycles, or significant menstrual pain. Medical evaluation helps identify hormonal, gynecologic, or systemic causes.

  • Bleeding volume and duration
  • Pelvic pain or cramping severity
  • Hormonal and reproductive health history
  • Need for testing, imaging, or referral
