What Is a Hernia Consultation?

A hernia consultation evaluates a bulge or weakness in the abdominal or groin area and determines whether urgent care or surgical referral is needed. During your visit, your provider will:

What We Review During Your Consultation:
  • Location, size, and duration of the bulge
  • Pain, pressure, or activity-related symptoms
  • Reducibility and warning signs
  • History of lifting, strain, or prior surgery
  • Need for imaging or specialist referral

Why Hernia Evaluation Is Important

In-home care allows early assessment without unnecessary travel. UrgentCare2Go® helps patients:

  • Identify hernia type and severity
  • Recognize urgent warning signs
  • Reduce risk of complications
  • Plan appropriate follow-up or surgery

How to Prepare for Your UrgentCare2Go

Create a Clean and Comfortable Environment:

  • Ensure the area for your UrgentCare2Go service is clean and has sufficient space for our equipment and staff to move around comfortably

  • Of course, we love pets! However, for the safety and comfort of everyone, please ensure all pets are secured in a separate, enclosed space during the visit
